old school

Old ass release for both involved, but it's one that got me listening to this kind of stuff. So get it.

deafheaven - Roads to Judah

Upcoming release, apparently. Full disclosure: got this from another blog. He asked in his post if it was brilliant or garbage...this is mostly for Hates and Crawdaddy, if you guys haven't heard it.

Also, it's black metal. Surprise!

Kevin Shields - TK

Oh what the hell, just one more.

This one's a little weird: the artist gave it to me because I bought her full length (The Death of Patience) before her show started, since I'm a lame/huge fan or I had to leave early or something like that. Anyway, it's a little minidisc CD-R dealie, the case it came in was hand-sewn together, and it's just one track. But it's fun, so check it out.

Telecult Powers

Telecult Powers - Kiss the Viper's Fang

Another Neon Marshmallow Fest tape. They played an incredible set on a pretty incredible night (in a period of about 3-4 hours, I saw Social Junk, Emeralds, Telecult Powers, and Excepter). Check out their droned, synthed, drugged music.

Cold Cave / Prurient - Stars Explode
http://www.mediafire.com/?ohob8ug7vysc14r

Once again, used. Once again, kinda crackly. But once again, a pretty fucking interesting album. Kinda almost meets at the mid-way point for both of these artists, so don't expect harsh feedback noise from Prurient and don't expect synthwave dance floor pop from Cold Cave. Definitely worth a listen though; although I still cannot believe that Cold Cave was the frontman for Some Girls.
